Summer Skill Share Activity Day!

August 14 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

Free

Learn how to use manual and electrical tools! No previous experience needed!

As part of a series of events for The Carers Garden we're opening up the space for a day of activities. This is a drop-in event where you can:

  • Build a mini planter to take home
  • Enjoy a variety of craft activities like making DIY bird feeders
  • Upcycled wooden bunting to decorate the garden
  • Make signs for the garden
  • And more; not to mention there's always plenty of gardening to do too!

We’ll provide all the tools, materials, safety equipment and expertise to help you learn DIY and have fun.

There will also be the opportunity to do some open gardening, the Carers Garden is a place for everyone to enjoy and we want to give you the space to be able to be creative however you wish to be! Open gardening can include (but isn't limited to) planting seeds, trimming bushes, tidying areas, cutting grass, and other things that might need our attention on the day.

Or you might just want to sit and enjoy.

You will be outdoors for most of the day, please make sure you dress accordingly. If it's hot and sunny, make sure you wear sunscreen and have a hat...alternatively if its cold/rainy please wrap up warm! In both instances please wear closed toe shoes, boots are more suitable but trainers are also okay.

Who's it for?
