Make a Flower Press and Open Gardening

July 12 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Free

Learn together how to make large flower presses for the community and your own mini pocket press.

During the workshop you'll learn how to safely cut wood, cardboard, sand, drill pilot holes, use winged nuts and bolts, and how to layer plants for pressing.

Why not come back on Saturday 13th, to decorate your flower press, and try our our fun taster activities. We'll pop the kettle on and bring refreshments!

The Carers Garden is a place for everyone to enjoy and we want to give you the space to be able to be creative however you wish to be! Open gardening can include (but isn't limited to) planting seeds, trimming bushes, tidying areas, cutting grass, and other things that might need our attention on the day.

You will be outdoors for most of the day, please make sure you dress accordingly. If it's hot and sunny, make sure you wear sunscreen and have a hat...alternatively if its cold/rainy please wrap up warm! In both instances please wear closed toe shoes, boots are more suitable but trainers are also okay.
