Build a Planter at the Carers Garden

Learn how to use manual and electrical tools by building a wooden planter to take home with you. No previous experience needed!

In this workshop you will build a wooden planter which you can use to plant, herbs, seeds, and flowers. During the workshop you will learn all of the functions of the drill, cut wood to the desired length, and drill the wood together to create a planter!

Young people are invited to bring a parent to learn DIY together at the Carer’s Garden behind the Metrodome.

We’ll provide all the tools, materials, safety equipment and expertise to help you learn DIY.

We'll also provide a healthy and nutritious lunch, plus refreshment and snacks.

Who's it for?

Young people aged 14 – 16 and their adult

Young people are able to participate with or without an adult.
