We think learning should be fun, so we're hosting DIY workshops in schools to help build confidence in children's and adults maths skills.

  • Multiply is a national programme by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, from the Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund, that focuses on improving adult numeracy skills and confidence.

    If you are aged 19+ and don't have your Level 2 maths (or GCSE grade C/grade 4 equivalent) and you want to improve your numeracy, free courses are now available across South Yorkshire for you that will support learning numeracy and maths skills.

    The free short courses and initiatives are available to Sheffield residents. They are designed to build confidence with numeracy at work and home and will provide a range of skills; from understanding personal finances, to supporting children with maths homework.

  • FREE workshops for adults without a Level 2 Maths qualification, and their child.

    These workshops are funded by Sheffield City Council and is funded by UK government through the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority

    Parents can choose from:

    • DIY Planters
    • Birdhouses
    • Stools

    We bring all the tools, materials, personal protective equipment, all we need from you is a minimum of 8 participants (4 adults & 4 children) and a suitable space.

  • Thank you for attending a Multiply workshop with Brightbox! Multiply is part of the Skills for Life government initiative to get more people confident with Maths and achieve their level 2 Maths qualification. We hope that our DIY and Maths course helped you feel more confident with numbers.

    If you'd like to improve your maths further, there are a number of free workshops or courses being held across Sheffield as part of the Multiply programme.
