Join us to learn how to build a growhouse/cold frame green house, perfect for keeping your seeds and young plants safe from cold weather. We'll be using recycled/reclaimed materials for this project and you'll learn all the necessary skills to be able to replicate this in your own garden!

You don't need any prior experience - our tutors will go through everything with you, one step at a time.

We’ll provide all the tools, materials, safety equipment and expertise to help you learn DIY.

This is a one-day course.

There will also be the opportunity to do some open gardening, the Carers Garden is a place for everyone to enjoy and we want to give you the space to be able to be creative however you wish to be! Open gardening can include (but isn't limited to) planting seeds, trimming bushes, tidying areas, cutting grass, and other things that might need our attention on the day.

You will be outdoors for most of the day, please make sure you dress accordingly. If it's hot and sunny, make sure you wear sunscreen and have a hat...alternatively if its cold/rainy please wrap up warm! In both instances please wear closed toe shoes, boots are more suitable but trainers are also okay.
