Join in the fun of Rotherham Creates and join in with this exciting workshop run by a talented local artist.
This workshop is all about wet felting and batik textile art. You will learn how to make a felted item that represents nature and Rotherham to you. You will also learn how to batik (a resist method of creating surface pattern that involves the use of hot wax to create the design).
Throughout October, we invited local schools, community groups, and the public to take part in workshops led by local artists. They involved lots of different materials and techniques and focused on the themes of community, sustainability, togetherness, and well being.
Over the course of 2 weeks we're holding an exhibition at Riverside House to showcase all of the amazing creativity that the people of Rotherham have.
We're also giving you the opportunity to participate in an artist-led workshop. So come along to this workshop if you want to learn how to wet felt and batik.
Free to attend and suitable for all ages (please book your spot below).
