Breaking Ground is for anyone aged 15 – 25 wanting to work hands-on, gain useful experiences, be creative or get your voice heard about the things that matter.

We have BIG plans for our shared community allotment with our partner, PXI, and we want to create a signature look and feel for the place. Being a community space we want to involve everyone in the design process. What do you think it should look like?

Get involved with things like…

👩🏾‍🎨  Learn from a local Sheffield artist or designer (we call them Role Models)
🖌️  Painting big mural for our metal shed
🧭  Wayfinding signage
🗺️  Build and design 3D map of the allotment
📣  Grand entrance sign!
⚡  Being creative
🤝🏽  Get 1:1 mentoring to get your CV future ready (be a paid Site Assistant)
🍕  Pizza

“I feel like I have learnt a lot, how to build, teamwork and responsibility”

Feeling unsure???

If you are feeling a bit nervous about arriving we can set you up with a friendly brightbox buddy who you can meet or chat to before the event. You can either arrive together or know you see familiar face when you get there.

If you haven’t been before and you’re just wanting to see if its right for you rather than committing to the full 6-weeks, that’s fine too! Just sign-up then let us know.
