DESCRIPTION:An exhibition and celebration of everything that was created during Rotherham Creates in Mowbray library makerspace!\nThroughout October\, we invited local schools\, community groups\, and the public to take part in workshops led by local artists. They involved lots of different materials and techniques and focused on the themes of community\, sustainability\, togetherness\, and well being. \nJoin us at the celebration event at Mowbray library to see everything that was created\, and talk to the artist about their process. \nThey'll be food and drinks\, including everybody's favourite\, PIZZA! \nWho's it for?\nFree to attend and is suitable for all ages. \nWhen?\n23rd October 5.00pm - 7.00pm \nDrop in at any time! SUMMARY:Weaving Workshop at Mowbray Library
DESCRIPTION:Artist led workshops during October half term!\n\nAs part of Rotherham Creates\, a collaborative project across Rotherham libraries\, we are hosting some workshops at a library near you. \nGet stuck in and create something with the guidance of the artist using interesting materials and techniques! \nThe workshop will be a weaving workshop project making colourful and vibrant squares using sticks as a base and then weaving around them which we will finish with beads\, tassels and ribbons to personalise them. \nThe workshop is followed by a celebration event so you can mingle with the artist\, look at all the different things that were made and stay for PIZZA! \nDuring November\, your creations will be part of a final exhibition at Riverside House which will be open to the public. \nWho's it for?\nThis workshop is suitable for all ages. \nWhen?\nMonday 23rd October \n2.00pm-3.00pm\n3.30pm-4.30pm. \nSpaces are limited so book yours below!
